Bellatrix is immediately convinced whereas her younger sisters, Narcissa and Andromeda are not so sure. Eventually, Bellatrix convinces Narcissa to join, but Andromeda refuses, deciding to stay at Hogwarts. Whilst at Hogwarts, Andromeda is horrified to read about what her sisters are doing. Narcissa begins to get more and more uncomfortable within the death eaters and argues with Bellatrix. The strain on the sister’s relationships begins to become more profound and Narcissa becomes distant from each of her sisters, not sure of which path to choose, she is surrounded by the horrors of the death eaters (I know Cedric didn’t die until book four but bear with me and pretend it’s someone else?) As they get older, Bellatrix moves further and further up the ranks whilst Andromeda finishes her final years at Hogwarts where she meets Ted Tonks, a muggle born wizard and begins a relationship with him. When Bellatrix hears about this she sends her sister a letter, telling her that if Andromeda doesn’t end her relationship with Ted, Bellatrix will kill him. To save her lover’s life, Andromeda tries to explain how much being pureblood means to her family, and leaves …
